On this trekking trail we will come across several wealthy villages of Ladakh. This trek is known as Sham valley or Apricot valley trek. Arrive at Likir monastery, where the path to the monastery meets Saspol and Bazgo, it is hardly an hour walk from the road. Trekking through the Indus valley and the ancient kingdom of Sham, we will discover the main Ladakhi monasteries and the wonderful sites around them: Lamayuru and Alchi are all reachable by road, and Temisgang, Ridzong and Likir lie in the trekking route. This trek is moderate difficult and the path does not rise above 4500m.

Itinerary For Sham Trek :

Day 01: LEH - LIKER - YANGTHANG. (4 – 5 Hrs)
The first part of the trek begins. After crossing over the Pobe-La and enroute trekking past, the forlorn village of Sumdo. Further along a valley trek to Chartse La and then arrive at Yangthang. Overnight at Camp.

Day 02: YANGTHANG - HEMIS SHUKPACHAN. (4 – 5 Hrs)
Trek along the Wullu valley and after coming over Shemchan La, arrive at Hemis-Shukpachan village. This village has been made popular throughout Ladakh for its aromatic Shukpa (Cedar) which is used as incense for religious purposes. Overnight at tents.

Day 03: HEMIS SHUKPACHAN - TINGMOSGANG. (4 – 5 Hrs).
Trek through the Ang village to the Tingmosgang, famous for its Apricots, Apples and Walnuts orchards and farms. At the end of the village visit the ancient palace of Tingmosgang surrounded by ruined edifices. In history, Tingmosgang was once the capital of western Ladakh. Overnight at Tents.

Day 04: AT TINGMOSGANG.
Day for Exploring the Palace, ruins, Village & Monastery.

Day 05: TINGMOSGANG – KHALTSE.
Today we will cross over Bongbong La pass and arrive at Khaltse. Overnight at Tents.

Day 06: KHALTSE - LEH.
This morning drive to Leh. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07:At LEH
The entire day free to explore the capital of Ladakh or rest.

Day 08: LEH-departure
In the morning transfer to airport for departure.

Tour and travel services end.
