It is one of the oldest Monpa village of the West Kemang district and the home of the rulers of the Monpa tribe. It is said the Thembang used to be the one of the rich village in culture and traditions amongst the Monpa’s. The villagers are the followers of Buddhism and believe in traditional rituals. The camping ground used to be the battlefield during the war.

Day 01: Arrival at Kolkata/Delhi

Arrival at Kolkata (land of Joy)/ New Delhi. Received upon arrival and transferred to hotel. Day free at your, leisure. Evening, free. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing

Sightseeing the boulevards of the erstwhile British capital which still carries the reminiscence of the days of Raj in India. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: Kolkata/Delhi- Guwahati

Morning drive to the airport for flight to Guwahati (gateway to North East, India). Received upon arrival and transferred to hotel. Day free at your, leisure. Evening, sunset cruise on river Bramhaputra. Overnight in hotel.

Day 04: Nameri National Park

After breakfast, drive to Nameri National Park. Evening, check into the eco-camp. Overnight in eco-camp.

Day 05: Dirang

Today we will drive to Dirang Valley, through some winding roads, late afternoon and check into hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 06: Trek to Sangti Valley (5000 ft) 10 km

Early morning visit the famous Kalachakra Gumpha and then resume your Thembang Trek. This is an easy trail flat along the river side trek for 10km and reaches the beautiful camping side on the bank of river Kameng. Overnight in Tent.

Day 07: Namshu (2152m) 12 km

This morning we will trek for 15km uphill through mountain terrains and forest to a small village, of horseman. Overnight in Tent.

Day 08: Chander (2788 m) 9km

This trek of 9km uphill will to a barren ridge, called Chander. From this place you can see a clear view of the Gorichen Peak, the highest mountain peak of Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight in Tent.

Day 09: Lagam (2720m) 6km

This morning we will trek down hill through unused motorable path and green forest to Lagam. Overnight in Tent.

Day 10: Pangma (2000 m) 6km

Today trek both up and down the ridge and pass through small Monpa villages, streams to a remote village called Pangma. Evening enjoy a pleasant moment with local villagers performing their traditional dance, with local beer and butter tea. Overnight in the Tent and

Day 11: Thembang (2137m) 5km

Morning visit the Semnak Village after crossing a small stream over a logged bridge, after resume trek to Thembang through cobbled road along the forested trail , green pastures & Gongthung village. Overnight in Tent.

Day 12: Rahung ( 1825m) 14km

Trek for 12 km downhill through forest and cross the stream and village down on the gorges, and after an uphill climb of 2km reach the motorable road. Board on vehicle and drive to Tawang. Enroute visit Sela Pass and Jaswant Garh fort. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 13: Tawang

Morning drive to Tawang (3334m) amidst pine forest. Enroute visit the world’s second highest pass SELA PASS (4215m) which runs through a small ridge and along a placid lake called the Paradise Lake, and Trout hatchery at Nuranang just below the pass before entering the land of Lamaist Buddhist. Overnight in hotel.

Day 14: Tawang

We will set out to visit the famous Tawang Monastery, which is the birth place of 6th Dalai Lama. The monastery houses over 500 lamas of Gelugpa (Reformed) sect of Mahayana Buddhist Monks. You can see a 10m high gilded statue of Lord Buddha and several other sculptures, thangkas and priceless manuscripts of Buddhism. You can also a craft centre producing woolen carpets. Overnight in hotel.

Day 15: Bomdila

Afternoon drive to Bomdila through beautiful roads offering panoramic views of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad Mountains. You can see many Buddhist prayer flags flattering on the roadside shrines. Apple orchards can be seen in plenty, on the way. Overnight in hotel.

Day 16: Tezpur

Morning visit the oldest monastery of Bomdila and then proceed towards Tezpur, mythlogically one of the important town of the Sonitpur district, check into hotel in late afternoon. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 17: Guwahati

Early morning drive back to Guwahati, check into hotel. Evening free at your leisure. Overnight in hotel.

Day 18: Transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station

Morning transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for onward Journey.
